Bird House Silent Auction

City Gallery is hosting a “Create Your Bird House” silent auction fundraiser for the Galax-Carroll-Grayson Animal Shelter and a rescue shelter. 

The first auction of 24 birdhouses is underway, so stop by and make your bid or bids!

You can also call us at 276-236-8338 (Mondays, Thurs-Sat) to make or raise a bid by phone. So easy!

More than 50 bluebird houses have been donated by Collins and Associates of Independence, VA.  We ask the public to decorate the bird houses and then return them to the gallery for the auction. This is a great project for adults as well as children.

We still have plenty of birdhouses that remain to be decorated; they will be in the second silent auction in June. 

You can place your bid in person or by phone!  Winning bidders will have a great new birdhouse to take home and install for those beautiful bluebirds. 

Made of unfinished pine, the exterior decoration is to be designed and painted by you. Some suggestions: abstract design, realism, floral, cartoon, nature scene, traditional music or other themes.

Remember…It’s not so much about getting a birdhouse as it is about donating to a worthy local cause!

We’re open 10 am to 5 pm Mondays, and Wednesday through Saturday.

Dorita & David Reyen – Fiber Artists & Painters  

Join us for a long overdue welcome to Dorita and David Reyen who became gallery members near the beginning of the pandemic. They create stunning designs on silk and other fibers as well as working in other art mediums.  

As always, we’ll have lots of great food and lots of fun! We hope you can join us.
