2nd Bird House Silent Auction

City Gallery is hosting the second silent auction fundraiser for the Galax-Carroll-Grayson Animal Shelter and a rescue shelter.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the bluebird house auction last month – we raised nearly $1100 for Twin County Animal Rescue! That will feed and care for quite a few cats and dogs. Happily, we had more houses than we could display so you have another chance to participate. Silent Auction dates are July 15 through August 9, with winners announced August 10. They are all newly painted and show lots of imagination! Even a 4-year-old painted one!

Once bidding begins, there’s a “Buy It Now” option for anyone who doesn’t live locally – for $100, the birdhouse is yours! 

More than 50 unfinished, pine bluebird houses have been donated by Collins and Associates of Independence, VA.  

You can place your bid in person or by phone at 276-236-8338 (Mondays, Thurs-Sat) to make or raise a bid by phone. So easy!!  Winning bidders will have a great new birdhouse to take home and install for those beautiful bluebirds.

Remember…It’s not so much about getting a birdhouse as it is about donating to a worthy local cause!

We’re open 10 am to 5 pm Mondays, and Thursday through Saturday.

Dorita & David Reyen – Fiber Artists & Painters  

Join us for a long overdue welcome to Dorita and David Reyen who became gallery members near the beginning of the pandemic. They create stunning designs on silk and other fibers as well as working in other art mediums.  

As always, we’ll have lots of great food and lots of fun! We hope you can join us.
